Feedback

I have to admit the writing process is not easy, but it really isn't that bad. The feedback that I have received and I haven't finished processing all my research was really good. Most of my feedback was about elaborating more on my main points and my referencing needing alittle work. I really thought it would have been worse than that. By the time I finish I feel that my paper will be so much better. I am so ready for it to be over, lol. I think that what is expected of the paper and my procrastinating siked me out. I can say that this class has really been a learning experience and even though I complained the whole way, I really enjoyed it. :)

Writing is Difficult

My least favorite thing to do is construct a research paper. When I first pick a topic, I'm interested, but the more I have to research it the less interesting it becomes. The whole process stinks to me. Lol. The most troublesome part for me is organizing my thoughts and arranging them so that my paper will have a nice flow. There is only so much I can say about a topic and then it sounds as if I'm repeating myself. I can't wait for it to be over.

My Writing Process:

When I was younger, I use to love to write poems. As I got older it seem to be not as fun because of the correct punctuation and the formal style of writing. I never considered myself as having a writing process I would just write what I felt, and get it done, over with. I believe my academic challenge consist of taking the time to properly research information on a topic. I tend to procrastinate when it comes to researching and relaying information accurately and properly in my own words, that's my real challenge. I feel as if I relay it the way I understand it ,no one else will, and it will be improper and unprofessional.  Going back to school has influenced my personal life and will definitely be used in my future career.. I have learned to take pride and put more of an effort in everything that I do (written as well as verbal). Knowing and understanding the  proper way to make and present professional proposals and written documents is a very important part in the medical field. It is good and important to know the proper way to site your sources to give proper credit to the authors. Writing is actually a constant learning pocess, it is not something you learn overnight. I will definitely practice it more often and have use for it in the future.

Citing Sources and Plagiarism

When you are writing a research paper, article, or doing professional research it is important to cite the person's name or the location where you received the information to give proper credit to the author of the idea or phrase. It is not right or legal to pass off someone else's hard work as your own and be known for it, but people do it every day. Now a days, not only are written documents being copied but plagiarism also goes as far as music and movies. Rappers music and movie producers ideas are also being used without being given the proper credit. The Internet makes it easier for people to get information and copy right from the comfort of their own homes. If someone took credit for something that I worked really hard on, I don't know what I probably would do. I probably would cry. I would take them to court, which probably couldn't reverse the damage the person already caused. These days it is easier to patent your ideas and copyright your work. I glad someone thought of that.
